Damon Stewart- is the owner and co-founder of Wasatch CrossFit. Damon began CrossFitting in 2004 and gained his Level I and Level II certification shortly thereafter. In addition he holds numerous CrossFit specialty certs such as Olympic Weightlifting, Power-lifting, Rowing, CrossFit Kids, as well as a USAW Olympic Weightlifting Club coach certification.
Damon is a lifelong athlete with a decade long wrestling career that included All-State and All-American honors. After wrestling came endurance sports. As both a runner and triathlete he competed in several triathlons up to half-ironman distance. After starting a family Damon began training No-gi grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA. Damon was undefeated in 20 No-Gi grappling bouts as well as 3 MMA fights. Now CrossFit is his sport with an emphasis on Olympic Weightlifting. In 2011 he was the Utah state runner-up at 77kg in Olympic Weightlifting and this year he hopes to qualify Wasatch CrossFit for the CrossFit Games as part of it’s Affiliate team.
While certifications & experience tell a part of the story it’s his commitment to bringing a world class training and coaching experience to Utah that has helped grow Wasatch CrossFit to the largest CrossFit facility in Utah. As a trainer his goal is to teach people to surpass their limits and carry that new found confidence to every area of their life. He specializes in Barbell training as well as working with competitive athletes of all ages and especially High School athletes.
Zac Eldridge - is a recent graduate for Weber State University in the Human Performance program. he is also a former five year college football athlete. he began his college football career at the University of Utah where he spent three years accumulating three bowl game appearances and victories including the 2008 Sugar Bowl. He finished the remainder of his career as a Weber State Wildcat earning all conference honers as the teams starting fullback.
Zac is now certified as a level one Croissfit instructor
Being an athlete all of his life he has years of experience in fitness and fitness training. Now armed with a crossfit certification and a four year degree he is very excited to share his knowledge and experiences with his athletes to better their performance. His goal as a trainer is to provide thourough instruction to help athletes to not only obtain their athletic goals, but to far surpass them.
Logan Putnam-
Chris Fritz- Chris Fritz is a Performance Specialist at BASICS Sports Medicine. He is originally from Salt Lake City but has lived in Ogden for the last 6 years. Chris graduated from Weber State University in the spring of 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. He is a certified personal trainer (CPT) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA),CrossFit Level 1 certified and has been working as a personal trainer for 2 years. Chris has run numerous boot camps for BASICS Sports Medicine and also teaches strength training classes as an adjunct faculty member for Weber State University. He loves all sports, especially golf, college football, and hockey. His goal as a fitness professional is to help people achieve their highest level of health through exercise and activity.
