Athletes...we're getting close to the opening bell!  Click the links below to open the heat schedules as well as the event schedule.

It's our intention that every heat begin on time.  There will not be an opportunity for athletes to make up a missed heat.  Athletes need to be prepared to line up 5-10 minutes before their heat is scheduled to begin.  Good luck!

Registration Closes in 1 Hour

As of right now we have 75 men and 42 women.  Good luck!

Scoring

Scoring will follow the 2009 Games model.  1st place will get 1 point, 2nd place 2 points, 3rd 3 points, etc.  In the event of a tie all of that athletes who tie for that place will receive the same points.  The next athlete receives the points of his relative place.  For example:  Two people tie for first.  They both get 1.  The next competitor gets 3.

Regarding scaling, DNF's, etc.  If you scale or DNF a WOD you tie for last.  Currently there are 42 women.  So if 35 Rx the workout and 7 scale all 7 would receive 36 points.  Please post any questions to comments.

Code of Conduct

We're looking forward to running a great event but do want to lay out a couple of guidelines.  Some of this may seem unnecessary to you.  Alas, not all people under the influence of competition display civilized behavior. 

1.  No abusive language or gestures towards the judges, volunteers, spectators, or competitors.  If you display boorish behavior you'll be escorted from the building.

2.  There is a formal appeal process if you feel like reps were missed or you were mis-judged on an event.  1st, we'll go to any video evidence available.  2nd, you can repeat the WOD within 1 hour of the end of that event.  This doesn't apply if you don't like your time.  Please don't ask a million nit-picky questions on this.  It's impossible to anticipate every scenario but if anything comes up we'll be as fair as possible.  We all compete in Crossfit too, believe me our sympathy lies with the athlete.

3.  Please take some time to thank the judges & volunteers.  This event couldn't happen without them. 

4.  Athletes - To be clear:  If you're mad about your performance or a missed rep and an F-bomb sneaks out we understand.  If you F-bomb the judge because you don't like their standards you're done.  We're here to serve you.  We'll do the best we can.

Updates

We've had questions about warming up for the Clean & Jerk event.  There will be a warm-up area with bars & bumpers. 

Spectators are $25/pp at the door.  The first 250 will get a free shirt.  When they run out they're gone so tell your crew to get there early.  Doors will open at 7:30am for spectators.  If you register on the Games site it's $50 for 1 spectator and a guest. 

We're looking forward to a great event.  If you have any questions please post them to comments.  We'll be closing out registration tomorrow night at midnight so if you have anyone on the fence tell them to hurry up and register.  As it stands we estimate we'll have 80 men and 45 women.  Once we close out registration we'll be posting heat schedules for Saturday so you'll know exactly what time you'll be doing each event.

Weights as Rx'ed for Fran. Men will wear a 20# weight vest, women a 10# vest.

Clean & Jerk (Any way overhead) for 1RM
3 attempts at max consecutive muscle-ups
Each muscle up adds 7lbs for men and 10lbs for women to C & J

115/75 Overhead squat
Push a loaded prowler sled from barbell to barbell.  Distance is sideline to sideline on a standard basketball court.

We've just send the ROM video and WOD's off to HQ to post on the Games site. They should be putting them up soon. If they don't have them up by Sunday evening we'll post them in their entirety here. In the meantime, here's Event # 1:

1RM Ground to Overhead
3 Attempts at max consecutive muscle-ups

Every muscleup attempt adds 7lbs to mens Overhead total and 10lbs to women's. If you cannot complete a muscleup your score will be the poundage you took from ground to overhead.
