We will be hosting an outdoor speed camp for all sports and ages!
Location: Layton City Park
Schedule: M, W, F ( Except July 4th Holiday)
Jr. High/ Elementary 9:00 Am
High School: 10:30 AM
Cost: $150 Per athlete
What should my athlete bring? Water Bottle!! Tennis shoes (can bring cleats in addition but must have tennis shoes), and be ready to do some work! So bring a good attitude, improvements do not come easy.
What does the camp entail??
- We will offer a variety of technical and fundamental sprinting techniques to all athletes. (Arm pump, stance and start, knee drive, foot strike, turnover.....in a variety of drills).
- We will also work on explosive power with a series of plyometrics (jumping drills) which will have direct carry over into the athletes sprinting technique and power output.
- Conditiong will also be a primary focus of the speed camp due to the fact that most athletes will be heading diretly into their sport of choice in the fall, the better conditioned the athlete the better they will perform and the more durability they will have.
- Body weight strength and conditioning will be a focus as well. Teaching the athletes proper body control in space i.e executing the proper movement for a squat, lunge, push up, sit up, single leg squat, bear crawl etc....will also help develop overall strength and body control.

Why combine sports into same groups??
In regards to speed and agility training, there are certain baseline movements and skills that can be applied to any and every sport. The more overall well rounded we can make your son or daughter/athlete.....the better. In football, you cut and plant and pivot and sprint and shuffle, same as in basketball, soccer, volleyball, LAX, baseball, softball, even in skates in the form of a hockey player on ice.
If we can hone specific skills and adaptions in these general terms, it will help the athlete perform their specific tasks that differ from sport to sport....faster, better, more effeciently. And those specific skills that directly apply to their position or sport of choice are practiced and honed.....at practice with their coach.
